[mpich-discuss] MPICH-1

MPICH is old and unsupported.  We recommend all users use MPICH2 instead, unless you need heterogeneous cluster support (a mix of 32-bit and 64-bit machines, or different endianness).  Are you unable to use MPICH2 for some reason?
