Hi,
We recommend windows users to use Visual Studio to compile MPI applications on windows.
If you do not have Visual Studio you can use gcc (available with Cygwin) from the command line to compile your programs (The mpicc wrapper is not provided with MPICH2 on windows).
Let us know if you need further help.
Regards,
Jayesh

Subject: [mpich2-maint] about mpich2
Dear Sir/Madam,
This is Jianbin Fang, a graduate student from China. Now I met with a
problem when I was using the MPICH2. After installing .Net Framework
2.0 and MPICH2 and when I am compiling the target application, like
pi, I can not find the mpicc command. Because I do not install the
visual studio 2003, target applications can not be compiled in that
environment. Would you mind telling me how to compile target
applications? Thank you in advance.
Best wishes,
Jianbin Fang.
