[mpich-discuss] About configure and make

Your configure output has these lines:

checking for make... no
checking for gnumake... no
checking for nmake... no
checking for pmake... no
checking for smake... no

Do you have "make" in your PATH ?
Do "which make" to see if it points
to anything ?  If your make isn't in
standard location, you can set MAKE=<full path to make>
as part of your configure command.
