Hi,
Is your MPI application (solver) 32-bit or 64-bit ? Can you try recompiling your MPI application and see if it works ?

Regards,
Jayesh

Jayesh,

I noted earlier that the -localroot option did help. By this I mean that mpiexec started the requested processes. Now, I am getting an error that fmpich2.dll file is not found. However, the fmpich2.dll file is in the C:\Windows\System32 folder. Have you seen this before?

Steve

Hi,
Did you try the "-localroot" option (mpiexec -localroot -n 2 MYMPIPGM.exe)?

Regards,
Jayesh

I am trying to use MPICH2 on a 4 processor, 64 bit, Windows XP machine. I log into the machine with a smart card/pin number; not with a username/password.

I would like to use MPICH2 to run a solver on all 4 processors on a single machine. The software I use is licensed only to my smartcard/pin number account. I have set up a local account on the computer with username/password access, but the solver software will not run within that account.

Is there a way to configure MPICH2 so that the username/password is not required?

Thank you,
Steve Turner
