Hi,
 Currently there is no support for checkpointing with MPICH2 on Windows. Try out compiling MPICH2 from Cygwin (blcr is available on Cygwin).

Unaccustomed as I am to mailing lists, I hope my cry for help will be heard
and answered eventually.

I therefore will continue without further delay to describe a problem
encountered by me.
As a uni project, an implementation of a fail-safe MPI application is in
order.
Sadly, I am limited to windows environment. So would it be in any way
possible,
to use a checkpoint library, with MPICH2 platform, and smpd daemon?
