[mpich-discuss] Install mpich2-1.2.1p1 error

It could be a problem related to NFS. Could you build it on a local
disk? That is, untar the tar file in a local directory and run configure
etc there. You can still have the library installed in an NFS directory
via the --prefix option to configure.
