Hi Dorian,
For Mpich1 mpif90 does not get created.
I have included the config.log for mpich 1

Hi Steve,
I'm not a fortran expert and certainly not a mpich1 expert ...
If you send the configure output this might help to find the problem.
Does "make" run through? Why do you suspect that something goes wrong?
Is mpif90 not created?
