NFS and LDAP don't need any special settings on MPICH2.

With respect to PBS, you can either use the default MPD process manager
(instructions in section 5.8.1 in the MPICH2 user's guide:

or use the Hydra process manager:

% mpiexec.hydra -rmk pbs -n 20 ./foo
