Perhaps I misunderstood your original question.  Are you asking which
networks MPICH2 supports?  MPICH2 uses shared memory for intranode
communication and currently supports sockets and MX for communication
between nodes.  The MVAPICH group at Ohio State will have an InfiniBand
module for nemesis available soon.
