[mpich-discuss] Had a failure in configuring mpich

I am doing the install in prod.

Nothing is showing up in my /apps/mpich directory?

I did the prefix flag in the configure command.

Please advise.

"make ?" means you want to execute target "?" in the Makefile.
As the error message indicates, there isn't a "?" target in mpich2's
Makefile.  Just do "make 2>&1 | tee m.txt" on your terminal.
