Hi,
We haven't tested the mpiexec delegate feature with Win Srv 2008 domain
controller.
So are you able to run mpiexec with delegate option (without specifying
"host" option) from a node registered with DC ?
Regards,
Jayesh

I have tried all these. It appears to be related to the win2008 domain
controller. Has it been tested in this config?

Hi,
Can you run hostname without specifying "-hosts" (mpiexec -delegate -n 1
hostname) ? Also make sure that you are running mpiexec using delegation
from a node with SMPD Service registered (Run "mpiexec -delegate -n 1
hostname" from a node where you executed "smpd -register_spn").
Did you get any errors when registering SMPD Service Principal Name (smpd
-register_spn)? Try removing the principal name and registering it again
to verify (smpd -remove_spn ; smpd -register_spn).
Regards,
Jayesh

All,
I have attempted to get MPICH2 1.08 and 1.1 to work on Windows and receive
the following error when performing the following command:
C:\Program Files\MPICH2\bin>mpiexec -delegate -hosts 1
central2.itlab.platform.com hostname
GetGC failed 0x1
DsMakeSpn(mpich2_smpd, central2.itlab.platform.com, 8676) failed: The
parameter is incorrect.
unable to lookup the smpd Service Principal Name.
unable to initialize an sspi context command.
mpiexec aborting job...
C:\Program Files\MPICH2\bin>
I am absolutely certain that I installed smpd using the following command,
and it was successful.
smpd -register_spn
Any help would be appreciated.
