I'm using mpich2 1.1 in rocks linux.
Recently we added to myrinet boards to our cluster, before that we didn't had any problems and thread level provided by mpich2 was MPI_THREAD_MULTIPLE.
If i try to run the job in the machine that has no myrinet ( 4 cores ) it runs without problem, although the thread level is still MPI_THREAD_SERIALIZED.
Thanks

Hi,
Are you using MPICH2 on windows (If so, did you try running your job with the multithreaded sock channel or the nemesis channel, eg: mpiexec -n 2 -channel mt my_multithreaded_sw.exe )?

Jayesh

Hi
I'm trying to run a mpi multithreaded software, but i'm getting this error on MPI_Recv in one of the threads:
"Fatal error in MPI_Recv: Error message texts are not available"
Anyone knows a possible cause to this problem?
Could it be becouse mpich2 just provides thread level MPI_THREAD_SERIALIZED?
