[MPICH] Confused about compiling/using mpich2

That is odd. Threads should be enabled by default. Can you send us the
output of the configure step (the configure.log file, not config.log). Send
it to mpich2-maint at mcs.anl.gov.

before and had similar errors of my simulation code).

The options for configure are:

./configure --prefix=/opt/mpich2/1.0.6p1/intel10.1 --enable-cxx --enable-f90
--enable-fast --enable-traceback --with-mpe --enable-f90modules
--enable-cache --enable-romio --with-file-system=nfs+ufs+pvfs2
--with-device=ch3:nemesis --with-pvfs2=/usr/local
--with-java=/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.5.0-gcj-4.2-1.5.0.0

Before compiling I set : setenv F90 ifort
and load the environment for Intel compiler.

In this linux box (ubuntu server kernel 2.6.22-14)  I have a dual Xeon, quad
core processors. The MotherBoard has 2 network cards, but only one is used
at the moment.
