You need only one MPD daemon per machine.

Subject: [mpich-discuss] mpd.hosts file

Hi all,
In my cluster I have 3 machines.
two one core machines and one 2 core machine

here is my mpd.hosts file

mynode1:2
mynode2:1
mynode3:1

but when i'm issue the command ' mpdboot -n 4 -f ~/mpd.hosts'

it gives the following error

totalNum=4  num hosts=3
there are not enough hosts on which to start all processes

Please let me know, how to use both the cores in a core-2-duo machine

Thank You,
Waruna
