[mpich-discuss] Linux Viewer for PMANDEL example

Hi,

Trying to run the pmandel program in the examples directory of MPICH2, 
on two nodes with Linux.  There's a viewer installation for Windows, but 
how do you view in Linux?

When I do:
$ startx
xauth: creating new authority file /home/me/.serverauth.4852
( brief pause)
Fatal server error:
Server is already active for display 0
If this server is no longer running, remove /tmp/.X0-lock and start again.

I assume X is running then, and do
$xhost +
access control disables, clients can connect from any host
$DISPLAY= rscp3:0
$mpirun -np 2 ./pmandel
Welcome to the Mandelbrot/Julia set explorer.
rscp3 listening on port 7470
(long wait then finally exits.)
