[MPICH] Problem with installing 'mpich2-1.0.6-win32-ia32.msi'

When I install this program in windows xp, I get the information:
"The version of C Runtime library required to use mpich2 is not currentlly
installed .please install visual studio c++ 2005 sp1 redistributable package(x86)
and try to re-install", 
However,I have the microsoft visual studio 6.0 already in my computer.
Is it necessary to install the C++ 2005 sp1 ?
