I guess you are running MPD as root. You may want to see the section on
Running MPD as Root in the installation guide.

Subject: [MPICH] MPICH2 (mpd.conf) problem

Hi,

I am using MPICH2 with condor, when I submit the MPI job, it will run as a
user "nobody" on the other machines.

And I am getting this error "unable to find mpd.conf file".

Is their any system variable (like the one to set the port range) is
available so that I can assign the path to "mpd.conf" file.

I have the mpd.conf file under /etc/ (/etc/mpd.conf) can I make use of this
file for the user "nobody".

Please let me know how to fix this.

Thanks,

Senthil
