[MPICH] MPICH2 for Windows

Doug Willson,

 

The current release of MPICH2 1.0.3 for Windows will run on Windows XP, XP
Home, 2000, and all Server versions of Windows except NT 4.  It will not run
on Win9x/ME.  The recommended platforms are Windows XP and Windows Server
2003 x86 and x64.

I have a general question about MPICH2. I am currently using LAM MPI under
Linux for cluster computing. I would like to develop some of my applications
for cluster computing under Windows.  Does MPICH2 work will both Windows XP
Home and Windows XP Professional?  Perhaps more generally, which versions of
Windows will support MPICH2?
