[MPICH] log4c++ or log4cplus or what?...

Does anyone know of, or has used, a good logging mechanism for C++ with
MPICH2? I've been testing log4c++ but it seems to core dump (bus
error) under some trivial circumstances.
Basically, what I want is something that looks like:
clog << "Foo bar"
which will produce a file in either a log file (one per process) or to
std::cerr which will look like:
2005-12-1 15:27:20(298289) hovel.york.ac.uk [NOTICE] Node0 -- Foo bar
Can anyone help me?
