[MPICH] Problem compiling mpich2-1.0.2p1 on FreeBSD 5.4

Oh by the way foloowing my previuos message:

I got this series of messages on only one machine. 

I went up one directory and rm -rf mpi*

I then scp the tar file from one of the working machines and
started all over again and it worked as in my previoue email.

I assume that somehow that older tar file was corrupted, but
who knows. I want to learn about physics, not computers.
