That check-in message should have been:

mbskin utility improvements
  o add option to merge coincident vertices
  o fix option parsing
     - check that block ids have valid syntax
     - allow concatenated flags
     - do not unconditionally treat last arg(s) as input/output files
  o add option to specify name of tag in which to store skin flag
  o fix incorrect help (wrong tag name) for -t option
