Hi Lukasz,
   See the attached document, which is very preliminary but does explain 
some of these things.  One major difference with what's in the code is 
that what the document refers to as the MBParallelData class is now 
MBParallelComm.  Note, I'm right in the middle of fixing some of the 
parallel ghost exchange code, which will also change some of the 
behavior in MBParallelComm; that's the class (in the parallel 
subdirectory) which you can use to get parallel information about the mesh.

I'll post to the wiki when I've merged these changes into the trunk, 
right now they're in a branch.
