itaps-parallel SC08 temporary computing platform

Hi all,
   I got the hole punched through the firewall yesterday for ssh access, 
so all I have to do now is move a couple of things off then it'll be 
ready, probably this afternoon.

The environment is:
64-bit Linux (Ubuntu 8.04, Hardy Heron)
64-bit, dual quad-core Intel processors
8 GB memory
MPI2, cmake, hdf5 (serial and parallel), netcdf
gcc 3.4, 4.2, 4.3 (including gfortran)

Did I miss anything?

Anybody who'd like an account please email me with your preferred username.

Please be kind in your usage, this machine sits in my office and sounds 
like a steam engine when it's loaded.  It's also been sunny lately so 
heat load is also a factor sometimes.  There should be plenty of disk 
space, though not unlimited.
