A few quick disclaimers first:  I haven't been participating much in the
parallel discussion lately, I don't know much about the tutorial, etc. so I
admit that I probably don't know what I'm talking about.

Details of the parallel interface are still being debated.  Might it be a
bit premature to emphasize it in a /tutorial/?

Mixing the parallel discussion with the discussion of the basic interface
concepts might be a bit much for participants new to the ITAPS work.  As it
is easy to separate the basic interface from the parallel interface, it
might be better to take advantage of that so the content is in more
digestible chunks.

And the latter issue might be compounded by the former.
