itaps-parallel getting ready to download the slides

Sounds good.  I'm just pulling in the new code in the examples (but it takes some reformatting to make it fit, so it's a bit slow going).

I'd be inclined to remove the SIDL example completely; thoughts?

Hi Tim,

Keep working.  I made some changes to the slides based on what's in the 
examples directory - mostly to include root set rather than 0.  I wasn't 
sure what to do with the SIDL example, so I left that alone.   Your 
slides will be the master slides and if you could send me only those 
slides that you change I can incorporate those into the presentation on 
my laptop.  Also go ahead and update the slides in the repository and I 
will try to download later tonight or tomorrow.
