The implementation shouldn¹t matter; these are compilation errors in the
application and we haven¹t reached the link phase yet.
I see the problem if I use
mpicc -g -DMPICH_IGNORE_CXX_SEEK
or
mpicxx -g -DMPICH_IGNORE_CXX_SEEK
