Have you tried going to a previous kernel (or a newer one if available)? 
It could be a bug with the V4L2 drivers that comes with that particular 
kernel.

V4L is just a compatibility layer of the V4L2 drivers and may not make a 
difference in this case, but I can't say it won't make a difference.
