Jimmy,

Private networks can be created by different methods which means  
there's no single solution for all situations. Have a look at:
	http://www.vislab.uq.edu.au/research/accessgrid/software/debian/ 
hardy.html

for a solution in a particular situation. It may be enough for what  
you want.
