[AG-TECH] building rat for AG3 on ubuntu edgy

I'm having trouble building AG...
using the instructions at 
http://www-new.mcs.anl.gov/fl/research/accessgrid/software/cvs-instructions.html

is that the right set of instructions?

I can build many of the ag-media components but not rat
