[AG-TECH] DV capture on Mac Pro

Hi.

I've run into some problems sending multiple dv sources into the Mac Pro's
standard firewire interface.  I'm running several svideo sources to DAC200
converters that connect to the Mac.  When using more than one source there
is a namespace conflict from which the Mac cannot recover without a reboot.
This surprised me since I'd run tests on a Power Mac with iSight cameras and
there the device names were automatically incremented (e.g., source 1,
source 2, etc.).

Has anyone successfully configured multiple firewire inputs of like devises on
a Mac Pro?  I'm thinking of picking up a PCI-E IEEE1394 card in the hopes that
that would give me some success.  That is actually how I ran multiple firewire
sources into the Power Mac; via a PCI card.

I'd be interested in others experiences with the Mac Pro and multiple video
capture.
