Our language department here in Manchester are interested in using the Access Grid for language teaching/practice to supplement foreign trips. This might take the form of small groups of students interacting with small groups in (an)other country(ies), expert seminars in specialist subjects (e.g. medicine in a foreign language), and other innovative ideas.

We are particularly interested in collaborating with nodes in Germany, Spain, Japan and China, but nodes in the US (or other places) may be suitable if they have native Spanish speakers, for example. But don't let this limit you if you or others within your institution would be keen to exploit this use of the technology. We may be able to collaborate...

Is there anyone out there who would be interested in working with us on this?

Mike
