[AG-TECH] AG 3.0 beta 2 - Video Capture not working

Hi Tom,

Thanks so much. It works great!

Just one small thing. It's seem to have defaulted back to 320 x 240 for
each of the video streams which gives a grey border box around each of
the videos. I try to change it with vidcap.exe back to 352 x 288 and
reload Access Grid but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

Many thanks,
Nathan

Hi Nathan:

The problem is apparently with the vic executable in the package that
you have installed. It is not recognizing WDM-based capture drivers,
even though it should be. If you take this vic executable:

http://www.mcs.anl.gov/~turam/AG/vic.exe

and copy it to

C:\Documents and Settings\<you>\Application
Data\AccessGrid3\local_services\VideoProducerService

and then try again, you should no longer be prompted to select a video
input for each stream.

This will serve as a test in your case, for you as a user. This working
vic will be included in the upcoming AG3 release, so the problem will be
generally fixed.

Let me know if this works out for you. Thanks for testing the beta!

Tom
