[AG-TECH] need faster shared applications urgently

I know this thread was started a while ago, but it makes sense to follow it
up to announce an application developed as part of the memetic project
(www.memetic-vre.net), known as ScreenStreamer (which was also announced at
the AG Retreat). This allows you to stream your desktop in H.261 or JPEG
over multicast or via a bridge. Broadcasting in JPEG will enable you to show
documents, web pages or presentations at full resolution. Broadcasting in
H.261 will be very poor quality but will be viewable by vic/IG video.
Receiving sites will need to install the client to receive full resolution,
or, alternatively, the stream can be viewed via a web browser, a la IG Pix.

We're keen for people to use the software and report bugs and request
features and let us know their experiences.

The resulting stream will also be recordable via Arena, our AG recorder
software, to be released shortly.

The URL for the software is:
http://www.memetic-vre.net/software/ScreenStreamer/
