Here's a note from my buddy at inSors regarding the grey surround 
(perhaps there's a similar file for the AG stuff?)

==Video==
CIF is 352x288. If you go into IGConfig, select "video format" next to
the camera you need to configure. There are fields here to input custom
resolutions for video capture, so type in 352 horizontal and 288
vertical.
