Cisco and a European network have implemented inter-domain ASM in IPv6 
using Embedded RP.  That is, the group address itself contains enough 
information for the routers to know where the RP is for that group.

I fear that we won't see a forklift upgrade of all IEEE 802.1 bridges, to 
devices complex enough to interpret IPv6 MLDv2 packets at line rate, 
anytime soon.  That will be required to avoid flooding the rather large 
IEEE 802.1 networks in production today.
