It looks like a problem with PIM on your routers. You get these
cyclical failures that follow the update cycles that your routers go
through in order to decide when to join a multicast group or prune
traffic from a given multicast group.
Greg Bell had a detailed table of Cisco and Juniper IOS multicast bugs
related to this kind of behavior, but I can't seem to find them
anymore. All I can find at the moment is his paper describing the
mechanics of PIM problems like yours and the methods they used to
identify/correct them at
