Hello,

There is an AG art community that is fairly new on the scene as far as AG
groups go. I have not had too much interaction with them up until now.
They have a mailing list at ag-art at accessgrid.org (subscribe using the
majordomo at accessgrid.org, subscribe ag-art). The ag-art group also has
monthly meetings.

Hope this helps.

Subject: Re: InterPlay: Hallucinations

Hello AG-arts,

I wanted to respond to some of the ideas Jimmy expressed in his e-mail. I really like the idea(s) of playing with "hallucinations." I am currently reading Leonard Shlain's Art and Physics: Parallel Visions in Space, Time and Light. Some of the descriptions of the parallel universes existing within 4 dimensions seem very descriptive of what might seem as Hallucinations.

In reading Shlian's book I am inspired to create a new movement improvisation piece based on infinte space, time, continuim. Which in and of itself may seem a bit hallucinational but the movement itself seems really rich and interelational to the idea of an altered reality.

The concept is in my head and I am interested in playing with the movement in such a way that it propels itself with in the context of various colors and technology. Which also lends itself to perceptions of an alter reality. Thus, changing the way people percieve what they see and make it condusive to this environment.
