I think someone ran across this before, but I'd forgotten it: If you are running the latest rat, and it *still* won't come up, check to see if you have the Windows XP Internet Connection Firewall enabled. If you do, it'll keep rat from starting as well as keeping out any incoming multicast traffic. --bob
