Will the workshop be covering use with both AG1.x and 2.x, or just 2.x?

Thanks,

If you can, please advertise this workshop to your local audience. Participants need to bring their own laptop and have an Internet connection. An AG node supports multicast. Thank you.

Bring your own laptop computer to this seminar and the presenter will take you step-by-step through the process of installing a Personal Interface to the Grid (PIG). You will be able to log in on the PIG so that you can communicate with another AG site, and participate in an Access Grid meeting. At the end of this session you will have a functional PIG installed on your laptop and will be able to communicate with other users. The presenter will take you through a Windows install (minimum is Windows 2000 or Windows XP). He will also take Linux users through the Linux install (RedHat 7.3, problems exist with RedHat version 8).
The minimum hardware requirements for installing a PIG on your laptop are:
· 1 gigabyte processor
· 256 mg of memory
· 1 inexpensive headset with microphone
· Optional: Logitech camera pro 4000 and a microphone
