I think you are right to point out that not all hosts will be running
a beacon. I added the information for the NLANR/DAST Beacon server
to the attachment just to be thorough.

I am pretty sure those lines should say client based on the beacon
statistics web page. For instance, the NLANR/DAST page says,
"... Target Multicast Group: 233.4.200.18 ...
Client-to-Server unicast traffic on port: 9999 | Client-to-Client multicast traffic on port: 10100"
And I think the server just receives from clients and creates the
statistics web page.
