[AG-TECH] Two Win2K or WinXP AG setups - anybody done them?

Yes, it can be done, and fairly easily at that. I've never had a need for
such a setup, and so haven't tested it thoroughly, but from experimenting I
believe it goes like this...

-One the old linux capture machine, install pig.
-change the /ag/agapps/video-config file to reflect the correct number of
capture cards and desired settings
-change the /ag/agapps/bin/start-PIG.bat file by removing the lines for
starting the event server and display resource manager. You can tell which
these are by scanning through the (long) argument lists. This will leave
the audio and video resource managers only.
-in that same file, find any reference to 'localhost' and replace it with
the IP address of the display machine. This should give you a heartbeat
when you start pig, assuming your display machine is on.

Good luck!

Thanks for the replys, folks. But I may have not been clear on my
question. I know that I can run all this on one box, but if I have a
situation where the number of cameras, or displays is greater than the
number of slots in one box, then I will need to use two machines and split
the functionality between them, just as in the 'old days'. With the
difference being that both of the machines are Windows boxes rather than
Windows/Linux.

I'd just like to know if anybody's done this, and what they had to change
on the 'video capture' box to get it to run.

Thanks!
