I've been asked to come up a parts list for high end, standard
and laptop PIGs.

So far I've come up with the following:
(substituting non Dell equipment with comparable specs as
required by the institution/organization)

High End:
  Dell GX450 Workstation
  Dual 2.8GHz Xeon
  2GB RAM
  40 GB HD
  nVidia Quadro4 900XGL 128MB
Two Osprey 210 Video Capture Card
  17" Desktop Display
  42" Plasma Screen
  Two wall Canon VC-C4
Polycom Soundstation Premier EX w/Video Interconnect

Standard:
  Dell GX450 Workstation
  Dual 2.8GHz Xeon
  2GB RAM
  40 GB HD
  nVidia Quadro4 900XGL 128MB,
  17" Desktop Display
  Logitech 3000 USB Camera
Polycom Soundstation Premier EX w/Video Interconnect

Laptop
  Dell Precision Mobile Workstation M50
  2.4GHz-M P4
  1GB RAM
  nVidia, Quadro4 700 GoGL, 64MB, VGA
  15in UXGA Screen
  Logitech 3000 USB Camera
Soundstation Premier EX for fixed locations, otherwise headphones

Questions....

How does this list compare with the current generation of PIGs?

What type of performance could be expected with the above hardware?

Is a Plasma screen appropriate or would a projector be better?

What are peoples experiences with USB cameras? Which ones are compatible?
(Researching the archives, it seems some USB cameras work better)

What onboard sound chipsets are compatible with AG?
(It seems using onboard sound reduces requirement for 32 bit PCI slots
- an issue if mutiple video capture/display cards are needed)

What affect does AGTk 2.0 have on PIG specifications?
