CALL FOR SC GLOBAL 2003 PROPOSALS
DEADLINE: APRIL 25, 2003
http://www.sc-conference.org/sc2003/global.html

SC2003 marks the return of SC Global, the multi-national and
multi-cultural meeting place for communication and discussion of ideas
relating to high-end computing and communications and their impact on
science and society.

SC Global 2003 will link the Phoenix Civic Plaza Convention Center with
Access Grid nodes worldwide. With advances in Access Grid technology, as
well as continued exponential growth of the network, we expect to be
joined by at least 1,000 participants at more than 150 locations across
the United States, Europe, South America, Australia, Asia, and beyond.

SC Global will feature art, music, dance, and other innovative uses of
advanced collaboration technologies, in several Showcase events. In
addition, SC Global will be an important extension of SC2003's
high-quality technical program. For example, papers presented in SC
Global will meet the same high standards as those in the regular
Technical Papers sessions.

All SC Global 2003 activities will be open to all conference attendees.
In addition, there will be participation from Global Satellite Sites and
Observer Sites. Global Satellite Sites will provide audience interaction
from around the world, while Observer Sites will allow for passive viewing.

SC Global encourages participating nodes to use version 2 of AG Toolkit
software, in order to most fully participate in all SC Global sessions.
We will run AG version 2 on the conference node in Phoenix, and the SC
Global Venues will be built on an AG version 2 Virtual Venues Server. We
are interested in receiving proposals for the SC Global Program which
include uses of the improved and enhanced functionality of AG version 2.

AG 2.0 is scheduled for release on April 15. For details about AG 2.0,
including information about developing software with the AG Toolkit,
please visit http://www.mcs.anl.gov/fl/research/accessgrid/ . To receive
announcements of upcoming AG software releases, send mail to
ag-announce-request at mcs.anl.gov with the word "subscribe" in the body of
the message.
