Title: RTPtv: Production Quality Internet Television
Speaker: Matt Deloc (VMWare, Inc.)
Date/Time: Wed Sept 4, 2002 12:00-1:30 PM (PDT)
Abstract:

This talk will present an overview of RTPtv, an inexpensive system for
transmitting production quality television over IP-based networks using
RTP. There are many technical issues and challenges involved in
transmitting television over IP, such as maintaining synchronization of
audio and video over extended periods of time and concealing occurrences
of packet loss within the network. This presentation will discuss some
of these issues, and explain the features in RTPtv that are used to
overcome these challenges.
