AGSchedule is available for all sites to use for scheduling meetings on the
Access Grid. You can find AGSchedule here:
http://agschedule.ncsa.uiuc.edu/
AGSchedule can now handle recurring meetings. Just select the "Recurring"
checkbox on the "Schedule a Meeting" form for more options. Once you have
scheduled a recurring meeting, you will notice additional features that
allow you to customize options for individual meetings or the entire series
of meetings. No more entering that meeting every week!
Some notes on using AGSchedule...
When scheduling a meeting that will have high attendance or is hosted by a
site other than your own, please check to be sure someone hasn't already
created that meeting. If the meeting is already there, simply create a
reservation for your site in the meeting that already exists. We have had
several instances where a meeting has been scheduled more than once and
this can lead to confusion. There is an option, "Open Invite", which
allows for making a meeting available for any site to make a reservation
and participate.
Venues and rooms are considered different on AGSchedule. A Venue is a set
of multi-cast addresses for audio and video which have a name assigned. A
Room is a physical space at your location where audience members at your
site can participate in a meeting. AGSchedule allows you to add rooms for
your site and makes available venues through the scheduling process. There
are four choices for venues:
*Automatic - This assigns an NCSA venue.
*External Venue - select this for one of the main Argonne Venues (Windmer,
Full Sail, etc...)
*Institutional Venue - select this for venues assigned to your site through
Argonne's Venue Server ( Door to ACCESS DC, etc...)
*No Venue - select this for non AG related events scheduled in your Room.
If you have further questions about AGSchedule, be sure to check out the
Tour or email the AGSchedule Administrators at agschedule at ncsa.uiuc.edu.
