[AG-TECH] Name the puppy

For the allegedly hardhearted amongst us, raised on a diet of George Formby
and the Carry Ons, the double entendres offered by this saga are almost too
much to bear. Sadly, they are not fit for publication on a mailing list.
I'd get drummed out of a job. Instead:

Don Morton quoting Mike Daw :

I don't know why I'm being demonised across two continents. I've seen the
web photos of this slobbering creature (oh make it up yourselves...) and
Mike knows perfectly well that I was kindly disposed to gave it a name more
than two weeks ago, which is more than its neglectful owner has deigned to
do for it. Its name, in Manchester at least, is Eric.

Cool indeed, and not a moment too soon.

As Manchester Computing is situated on a busy main road in the city centre,
we have no wonders of Mother Nature to share with the AG community, but
footage of fraternal greetings exchanged between cyclists and bus drivers in
the customary form of hand gestures can be made available on request. The
heartwarming
sight of lorry drivers aiming their vehicles at students
stranded in traffic will be obscured by diesel fumes and smoking rubber, so
this idyllic urban landscape will cause no offence to people of a nervous
disposition. With them in mind, I won't trouble you with tales of treasured
pets being mowed down by speeding police cars.

Give my regards to Eric.

Andrea, aka Miss Ann Thrope.
