The Global Grid Forum (GGF) is a community-initiated forum of individual
researchers and practitioners working on distributed computing, or "grid"
technologies. GGF is meant to provide both working sessions for Working
Groups and Research Groups as well as offering general information and
education for those who wish to "come up to speed" or "brush up" on what is
happening with Grid Technologies, Applications and Initiatives.

GGF is the result of a merger of the Grid Forum, the eGrid European Grid
Forum, and the Grid community in Asia-Pacific.
