[AG-TECH] no heartbeat

I think I know now what has happened. I was gone for 8 weeks. Someone else
operated the node. They might have done something that effected to the AG
software. I click Start Menu -> Programs ->Access Grid Toolkit -> Venue,
there is no Event Server. I might have to reinstall the AG software. The
machine seems to be messed up somewhat. When I open the Control Panel,
there are only 5 icons, the rest of the icons are just empty. This is not
good.

Thank you all for helping me pointing that out.

You need to start the event server as well, using Start Menu ->
Programs -> Access Grid Toolkit -> Venue -> Event Server (at least in an
AGiB installation).

Sorry for not providing the complete information.
It started with no video at all on the Video and Display machines.
Video and Display machines got restarted.
    To start the AGnode, the first thing you do is to run the Display;
Manager.
So I did. Since I did not get the heartbeat, I could not continue.

I don't see eventserv.exe at all on the Win2000 Display machine.

did you start the event server? Did this work in the past?

Bring up the task manager (ctl-alt-delete, click on "Task Manager"),
click
on Processes, and scroll through to see if there is more than one
process
nanmed "eventserv.exe". If so, kill them all off by clicking on them
then
clicking on "End Process". (I'm assumign this is on a win2k
machine). Alternatively, reboot to to start from scratch.
