Hi,

There have been some questions regarding Pentium 4 vs Pentium III 
performance and in particular
the performance of the PCI Chipset.  Here is a web site that has collected 
performance
of a number of systems with myrinet (a high-speed interconnect that 
interfaces via PCI) cards.  The
measurements here suggest that Pentium 4's with the i860 chipset are under 
performing some of
the PIIIs.
