looks good. I'm wondering why the video machine priced out so expensively; 
seems high.

Don't necessarily need two drives in the display machine.

Does the video machine really just have one PCI slot? that won't do well..

I'd shy away from putting Matrox G450s on anything but the display machine, 
due to the Linux issues.

You may want to track down some Ensoniq AudioPCI cards instead of the 
PCI512 (aka SBLive); I've heard from some of hte driver developers that 
there are hardware reasons that hte PCI512 won't perform as well with full 
duplex audio.
